Fred Freddie D Lesley

LESLEY, FRED DALTON, of Springville, AL passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011. He was born January 14, 1939 to Austin and Edna Lesley. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; sons, Doug (Tami), Scott (Stephanie), Tony (Paige); daughter, Donna Smith (Jeff); sister, Jo Wilson (Norman); eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson; two nephews, and four nieces; sisters-in-law, Anne Elam and Dianne (Edward) Estes. Fred retired from Southern Electric Steel and went into the mobile home business, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was a member of Springville First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2011 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at Springville First United Methodist Church. Memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Herb Robertson and Rev. Mike Ratliff officiating. Ridout's Trussville Chapel in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springville High School Basketball program or Springville First United Methodist Church. The family wishes to give special thanks to Hope Hospice who so lovingly cared for him during the last days on earth, and to his many friends who visited and just "hung out" with him in the days before.
