Gary Nelson Pendergrass

Pendergrass, Gary N., age 62 of Springville, AL passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012. Gary was born November 7, 1949 in Fort Payne, AL and was a graduate of Coffee High School in Florence, Al. He was a veteran of the US Army and served his country during the Viet Nam era. He graduated from the University of North Alabama and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashville. Gary retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and enjoyed fishing at Lake Martin and spending time with his family.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Artice Pendergrass and a brother, Robert Pendergrass. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Vicki Pendergrass; two sons, Eric (April) and David (Kacy) Pendergrass; his daughters, Stacy (Tim) Murphy, and Lisa Pendergrass; two sisters, Marsha Rochester and Pamela McInnis; His grandchildren, Taylor, Mollie, Parker, Micah, Hannah, Luke, and Carly; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 5 until 8 PM with funeral services to follow Sunday at 2 PM. Dr. James Sampley and Dr. Ralph Andrews will officiate the service. There will be another service Monday, July 23rd at Pafford funeral Home in Lexington, TN at 1 PM with a visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will be in Judson Cemetery in Lexington, Tn.
