George was born on July 22, 1940, in Huntsville, Alabama. A proud graduate of Auburn University, he went on to build a distinguished career as an engineer, working for both Oak Ridge National Laboratories and Boeing. His dedication, skill, and curiosity were evident throughout his professional life.
George was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Wanda Miller. and by his sister, Edna McCarty. He is survived by his loving wife, Pensri Miller; his children, Brad Miller and Traci McClanahan; his sister, Edna McCarty; and his stepchildren, Gail Thuraphan and Guy Thuraphan.
A faithful member of Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, George lived a life grounded in service, generosity, and deep appreciation for the world around him. He enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, and cheering on Auburn college sports. More than anything, he loved movies—especially comedies. One of his favorites was RV starring Robin Williams, a film that never failed to make him smile.
George supported numerous organizations close to his heart, including the Melbourne Police Department, Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, Give Kids the World, Wounded Warriors, Melbourne Buddhist Temple, and Auburn University scholarship programs. His giving spirit touched many lives and reflected the kindness he carried throughout his life.
George will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum in Birmingham, Alabama.
His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring comfort, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
