November, 5 1932 - August, 31 2016 Henry Herbert Hann 83 of Birmingham, the Alabama Crimson Tide’s biggest fan, passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was the father of Sherry (Harry) Johnson and Gene (Sharon) Sparks, grandfather of Tammy (John) Walters, Tracy Baty, Eric (Liz) Sparks, Brittany Sparks and Trevor Sparks, great grandfather of Tyler Thomas, Kaia Mitchell, Shaquay Jones, Robert Sparks and Reese Sparks, his niece Linda Livery, and his nephews Larry Manning and Kenneth Swanson. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Hann, his granddaughter Michelle Sparks. Herb retired from the American Cast Iron Pipe Company in Birmingham, AL and enjoyed spending time working at craft shows with his wife, Alabama football, his Chevy truck, gardening and he never met a stranger. A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 4th at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Chapel of 800 Dennison Ave SW Birmingham, Al.35211 followed by Graveside services at 2:00 p.m. It is suggested in lieu of flowers, to make a donation in Herb’s memory to the ONEeighty Church.
