Green, Howard R. "Sam", Sr. age 85 of Pinson, AL passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was a proud veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired from Western Auto as the warehouse distribution manager. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lula Green; brothers, Jim and Billy Joe Green. Sam is survived by his wife of 59 years, Grace "Boots" Green; sons, Howard Green, Jr. of Pinson and Phil Green of Hayden; grandsons, Daniel and Joseph Green of Hayden; brother, Ray Green of Pace, FL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 2 PM at Marvin's Chapel in Pinson, AL with Revs.Gary Fisher and David Awtrey officiating.
