Irene Michelle Graves, 45, of Irondale, Alabama departed this life December 7, 2017, after a prolonged battle with rheumatoid arthritis. A talented attorney, proud Auburn fan and devoted wife, mother and friend, Irene was preceded in death by her daughter, Cecelia Rose. She is survived by her beloved husband of over twenty years, John P. Graves, and her beautiful daughter, Anna Sophia "Sophie" who she loved fiercely. She is also survived by her parents, Robert "Bob" and Edi Neikirk, and her brothers Bobby, Joe and Todd, as well as countless dear friends who will miss her amazing intellect, her generous heart, and the joy and humor she brought to every day. A memorial service will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel on December 15, 2017 at 1:30 PM. An additional celebration of Irene’s life will be held at 3:30 pm on December 13, 2017 at Rogue Tavern. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Children's Hospital of Alabama.
