James "Mike" Michael Deming

DEMING, JAMES MICHAEL “MIKE”, age 78 of Springville, completed his time on earth on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Mike was a beloved husband, father, Papa and brother. Mike was a deacon and member of Central Baptist Church in Argo. Mike maintained membership in the Ashville, Center Point and Springville Masonic Lodges having served twice as worshipful master at the Springville Lodge. He served in the Army and the Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran and has always loved his country. Mike was retired from the Defense Contract Management Command where he was an area supervisor over several government contracts. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James Monroe Deming and Jonnie Francis Deming Duncan; and step-father, Claude Duncan. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joy Deming; son, Michael Wayne Deming (Sarah); granddaughter, Molly Kate Cheeley (Evan); brother, Anthony Deming (Marilyn); brother-in-law, Brent Pennington (Terri); sister-in-law, Judy Lose (Robert); and a host of other family and friends. His family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:30 at Central Baptist Church. There will be a graveside service at Springville Cemetery beginning at 2:00 PM.
