James "Butch" Franklin Elliott, Jr., age 73, of Fultondale, Alabama passed away on Friday March 1, 2019. James was born November 6, 1945. He is preceded in death by his parents, James F. Elliott, Sr. and Gladys M. Wallace Elliott and wife, Nancy Whitten Elliott. He is survived by his daughter Laura Elliott Barnes and her husband Jonathan Douglas Barnes; grandchildren, Brody James Barnes, Alexander Wayne Barnes and Reese Douglas Barnes. Butch attended Jacksonville State University where he played football. He worked as a Picture Framer at Cash Molding Sales. He was an avid Auburn Football Fan and he loved spending time at yard sales.
A visitation for Butch will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, with funeral service following at 11:00 AM, 800 Dennison Ave S.W., Birmingham, AL 35211. A burial will occur Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, Alabama 35211.
