James Melton Yarbrough Mar. 19, 1937 – Apr. 2, 2015 James Melton Yarbrough, CWO4 USN ( RET.). Went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned several medals and awards including the bronze star, 2 Navy commendation medals, a good conduct award, Vietnam service medal, and the Gallantry Cross. After retiring from the U.S. Navy he went on to retire from Home Insurance Company. He was an active member of Freedom Ministries Church. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Lois Yarbrough, grandchildren Andrea Lee Yarbrough and Chance Lee Silver. He is Survived by his loving wife of 27 years Paula Gay Yarbrough, son Jeb Yarbrough (Cindy), daughter Mona Wier, grandchildren Casey Coates (John), Cameron Yarbrough (Lauren LeeAnn), Michael Alan Silver, Brooks Wier, great-grandchildren Ellie Grace Coates, Skyler Silver, M.J. Silver, brother John Yarbrough (Lynn), Sisters Linda Hill (Bud), Donna Smith (Tommy) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM Wednesday April 8, 2015 at Freedom Ministries Church, 6245 Eastern Valley Rd. McCalla, AL. with the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Johnstown Cemetery in West Blocton, AL.
