Jason Kennth Smith, age 46 of Trussville, Alabama peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1979 to the Larry Smith and Regina Smith. He graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School.
Jason leaves behind a Legacy of Laughter and wisdom. His humor lifted spirits, as he had a natural ability to make people laugh. He had a gift for sharing knowledge in ways that felt meaningful and timeless. He was caring, kind and offered thoughtful advice with meaningful conversations.
Jason loved construction and took great pride in working with his hands. He saw purpose in building, creating something strong, lasting and meaningful from the ground up through his work; he expressed patience, skill, and dedication, leaving behind not only physical structures, but also a reflection of his hardworking spirit. In many ways Jason was a builder in life as well, building laughter, wisdom and connection wherever he went.
Like all of us, Jason had struggles, but with that being, said where it matters the most, at the end of his life there is no doubt in my mind or spirit that Jason made it right with Jesus Christ before he departed. His wings were ready, but our hearts weren’t.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Leah (Kris) and his grandson, (Ashton); his mother, Regina; his brother, Bryan (Cami), and his nephews, Caydon and Colton. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Smith.
