Jeffery Keith Smith

Jeffery Keith Smith, 68 of Springville, AL passed away on January 8, 2025. He was a native of Huffman, AL and graduated from Huffman High School class of 1974. Jeffery was a lifelong carpenter and a longtime employee of BL Harbert Construction.

Jeffery was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. Although a quiet-mannered man, he enjoyed playing practical jokes and had a great sense of humor. He rarely splurged on anything for himself, but he enjoyed quality black coffee, dark chocolate and ice cream. Jeffery was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Orian Smith and Betty Ann Smith. He is survived by his loving daughter, Whitney Smith Devine (Tim); his two grandsons, Benjamin and James; his siblings, Blake Smith, Jill Meo, Kerry Smith (Nancy) and Kristie St. Germain (Mark); a host of nieces and nephews; a stepdaughter, DeChiara Tharpe.

A funeral service for Jeffery will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Saturday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. A visitation for friends and family will be held one hour prior. Jeffery was an avid Alabama football fan so the family welcomes all guests to wear their crimson and white.
