Jerry Glenn McAvoy, age 76, of Cullman, Alabama went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 27, 2018. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Jean McAvoy; son William Keith McAvoy; and his parents Chester McAvoy and Alice Dee Weems McAvoy.
Jerry is survived by his son Daryl Glenn McAvoy (Betsy); daughters Rachel Ray and Patricia Lawrence; grandchildren Steven Blake McAvoy, Cory Lee McAvoy, Fay Marie Murphy, Christopher Keith McAvoy, and Stephanie Kayla Palmer: 6 great-grandchildren; brother Lawrence McAvoy; sister Martha Lee; and numerous family members and friends that will truly miss him.
Jerry was a strong Christian man who loved God and his family.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, April 29, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Sunrise Cemetery, 4396 Buzbee Road, Pinson, Alabama.
