Jerry Allen Wilkerson

Jerry Allen Wilkerson passed away on 8/25/24 at the age of 65 surrounded by loved ones in Birmingham,Alabama. He graduated from Huffman High School in 1977 and attended Livingston University. Jerry was a great friend, father,son and brother. He loved spending time in the great outdoors,especially in Mentone,Alabama. His love of music and playing his guitar was known by everyone who spent time with Jerry. He spent many summers kayaking on the great rivers that surrounded his home. He worked many years at O’Neal Steel company in Birmingham. He never met a stranger and made friends easily. He had a special way of relating to people that made him many friends along his journey. He was a member of his local Masons Lodge, Sons of the American Revolution and the Shriners organization.

He was preceded in death by his father Douglas Wilkerson(2010)and leaves behind his girlfriend Jodi Griffin Nowak; children, Cody(Laura)Wilkerson and Kayla Wilkerson of Springville,Alabama; two grandchildren, Beckham and Kit Wilkerson; his mother Zoe Wilkerson and his sisters, Debbie Wilkerson Windle(Bert) and Gayle Wilkerson Hammond(Doug).

A visitation will be held on Saturday at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 10:00am with service following at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 31,2024.

Go rest high on that mountain, dear Jerry. Your work on earth is done. May you find solace in the arms of our Lord.
