Jesse O Helms Jr.

Helms, Jesse O Jr. age 89 entered into the Glory of His Lord Jesus Christ Saturday March 17, 2012. He was one of nine children born to Jesse O. Helms Sr. and Queenie Bush Helms. He was preceded in death by his parents , a son and daughter , two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Peggy R. Helms, daughters Lynne (Mike) Frey, Barbara Wingard and Mitzi (Tom) Council. He is also survived by sisters Cecil Williams, Theda Fleming and a brother James Helms. Grandchildren, Matthew (Lacy) , Jared (Dawn), Nathan Wingard and Natalie( Kyle) Bohannon, Stephen (Heather), David (Kim) Frey, Rebekah (Dan) Baker, Philip (Melissa), Aaron, Jacob Council and Jessica (Daniel) Akins, along with fifteen great grandchildren.

He was the owner and President of Dry Wall Construction Company for 35 years. He was a member of Brewster Road Alliance Church for 62 years.

Funeral service will be Tuesday March 20, 2012 at Brewster Road Alliance Church at 2:00 P.M. with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to service time.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Brewster Road Alliance Church.
