Joe F. Crump, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred P. and Joe F. Crump, Sr., his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry (Harold) Riggins.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Crump; sisters, Donna (Van) Green and Helen (David) Wells; daughter, Tiffany (Steve) Noble; sons, Eric (Candaice) Daniel, and Bryan (Zac) Hughes; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A true Southern gentleman, Joe loved his family, fur babies, Alabama football, classic cars, cooking, and tending to his garden. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose humor and strong spirit touched all who knew him.
Roll Tide, Buster — you will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
His family will celebrate his life with a visitation at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:30 with his service beginning at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham.
