Joe V. McNees, 78, of Hoover, AL, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garvin H. and Ruby L. McNees. Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. McNees; one son, Michael A. McNees (DeVonna); and grandsons, J.D., Andy, and Brodie McNees. Mr. McNees was most recently an employee of the Hoover School System and attended Green Valley Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery.
