COLLIER, JOHN MILTON, age 85 of Springville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Collier. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Diane Kiley Collier; son, John Jeffrey Collier; grandson, Alex Collier; sisters, Nancy Bailey Sims and Linda Edison; and several nieces and nephews. John grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Woodlawn High School and UAB. After graduating, John and Diane moved to Tampa, FL where he enjoyed a long career until he retired from Verizon. After retiring they enjoyed extensive traveling and then returned home to Alabama in 2021. John enjoyed Alabama football, woodworking, fly fishing and bird watching. He was a loving husband and father that will be deeply missed. There will be a memorial service on Friday, November 7, 2025 beginning at 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with visitation from 1-2..
