He is survived by his daughter Rita (Craig) Beem, sister Marilyn (Michael) Jackson, brother Robert (Diane) Hood and granddaughter Rachel Beem.
Mr. Hood was a lifelong resident of Birmingham. He was retired from Stockholm Valve and Fittings. His lifelong hobby was gun smithing. He served in the United States Marine Corp.
Graveside service will be Thursday June 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM prior to service time at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel.
