Joseph Frank Lester Jr.

Frank proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1959-1963, stationed in Hawaii and Montana.

Following his military career, he went into the service industry as a Master Plumber. He founded Lester Plumbing Company, operating for 54 years.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Jane, and 6 children; Cheryl Dailey (Gwin), Renae Thomas (Tim), Pam Compton (Greg), Rita Lester, Glen Lester (Angel), and Brandy Forster (Kenneth). He was a loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, located at 1500 Gadsden Hwy. Birmingham, AL 35235. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, with service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will take place at Ridout's Forest Crest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are grandsons; Kerry Dailey, Tony Smith, Wesley Smith, Michael Clements, Seth Brasher, Jacob Compton, Sterling Kelley, Logan Clements and Brayden Pate.
