Joyce was preceded in death by her two husbands, Robert “Bob” Kemp who passed away in 1983 and Glenn Murphree who passed away in 2008; her parents, and her brothers, Larry Carter and Rex Carter.
She is survived by her children, Randy Kemp (Dianne), Michael Kemp (Jenn), Jennifer Tittle (Jeremy), and Joanna Cotton (Jon); fourteen grandchildren, Bobby, Brian, Tiffany, Lily, Aaron, Brandi, Landyn, Jayden, Sam, Ashlyn, Luke, Avery, Mason, and Allison; her three brothers, Donald, Gary and Rick Carter; numerous great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Friday, August 23rd from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The chapel service will be held on Saturday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. The burial will immediately follow the chapel at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jerry Mahner will preside over the services.
