Nichols, Kay N., 66 of Springville went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2012. Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Ron of 40 years and her father, Edward Normand. Kay, a graduate from Auburn University was an educator for over 30 years working in the Birmingham and Springville School Systems. She enjoyed traveling around the world, and was an avid reader, always with her Kindle. Kay is survived by two daughters, Beth Walker (Scott), Becky Walk (Marshall), four grandchildren, Ben and Sam Walker, Matthew and Molly Walk, Her mother, Nola Brown Normand, one sister, Patti Davis (Murff), three sister- in-laws and one brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Rev. Mike Ratliff and Rev. Judy Sheppard will officiate graveside services on Saturday, August 4 ,2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
