

Johnson, Kenyon B. Jr., “K.B.”, born on October 13, 1934 in Clay County, Alabama to the late Kenyon B. Johnson, Sr. and Clara Lillian Pruet Johnson. When the family quit farming and moved to Birmingham, he attended school at Kennedy Grammar and Woodlawn High. He was known in school as “Kenny”. Kenyon was retired from Witco Chemical Company and was a retired U.S. Army Reserve officer, Capt. CE. Kenyon was an active Mason, being a member of Wahouma Lodge (Bham) and a member and PM of Dwight Lodge (Gadsden). He was a member of the York Rite, the Scottish Rite, the Zamora Shrine and Jesters. Kenyon was of the Baptist and Brethren faith. Kenyon is survived by his wife, Wanda Cleveland Johnson; sons, Kenyon B. Johnson III and Russell S. Johnson; daughters, Sheryl J. (Ricky) Hollis, Kerri J. Locke and Kristi J. (Keith) Ledbetter; sister, Juanita (Wayne C.) Champion; nieces, Leigh Champion and Beth Little. Kenyon also enjoyed his 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always had great love for his family, his country and his flag. Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2011 from 12 PM until service time at 2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
