HAMMETT, LAWRENCE PAUL Hammett, Lawrence Paul, age 84 of Trussville, AL went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2011. Lawrence was a wonderful husband, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Hammett; brothers, S.W. Hammett and D.O. Hammett; sister, Christine Cramer. He is survived by his wife, Betty Doss Hammett; sister, Dorothy (Elem) Holmes; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2011 from 6 PM until 8PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
