

.Dr. Lee Burnette DuBois, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles P. DuBois, his mother, Sally H. DuBois, brother Charles H. DuBois, and sister Martha D. Tate. He is survived by his two children Melissa D. DuBois and Eric L. DuBois, his sister, Laura J. DuBois, his niece Molly T. Thoesen, his brother-in-law Kenneth Tate, and his wife Amy H. DuBois. He was a native of Birmingham, growing up in Roebuck where he attended Banks High School. He went on to become a graduate of UAB, both for undergraduate and medical school. He completed his OB/GYN residency at UAB as well. Since then he has spent the past 32 years serving the needs of his patients at St Vincent's East. He was a talented physician who dedicated his life to women's healthcare and brought joy by delivering thousands of babies. He was actively involved in many physician leadership roles throughout his career and was the current Medical Staff President. Anyone that knew him, knew of his love to hunt and shoot and he could often be found doing one or the other. His love to hunt was only surpassed by his love and dedication to his family and his many pets over the years. He was actively involved in numerous wildlife conservation efforts. He was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and on the Finance and Personnel committees. He was also a beloved preschool Sunday school teacher. Visitation will be held at Brookwood Baptist Church in Mountain Brook on Tuesday November 22, 2016 from 4pm until 6pm with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Jefferson County ARC 6001 Crestwood Boulevard Birmingham, AL 35212.
