Lee Nell Green McDowell of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the age of 79. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. McDowell and her husband, William Eugene McDowell had a Nationwide Insurance Agency for many years. She was a longtime member of NorthPark Baptist Church in Trussville, Alabama where she enjoyed serving her Lord and her many friendships with her church family. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and shopping trips with her daughter and granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene McDowell; parents, William F. Green and Margaret W. Green; and a brother, James Green. Mrs. McDowell is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Bauer (Andy); her beloved granddaughter, Ansley Bauer; brothers, David Green and Paul Green (Karen); sisters, Maudie Green (Doug) and Virginia Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic there will be a memorial service announced at a later date.
