

Louie Austin Busby, 91, of Birmingham, AL passed away Monday, May 5, 2014. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and unofficial member of Christ Church United Methodist. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during WWII as a Flight Instructor and loved to fly. He was retired from Stockman Valves and Fittings. He had married the love of his life Mildred Lovelady in 1944, being married to her for over 55 years till her passing in 1999. He is also preceded in death by his parents Wilburn Austin and Ella Ruddy Busby, son James Bailey (Butch) Busby, and brother Cecil Busby. He is survived by, son Frederick Austin Busby, daughter Patti Busby Lancaster and her husband James Daniel (Danny) Lancaster all of Hoover, AL, two brothers, Jim Busby of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Jerry R. Busby and his wife Peggy of Decatur, AL., sister in law Virginia (Snookie) Busby of Hoover, AL. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to, The Bruno Cancer Center, 810 St. Vincents Drive, Birmingham, AL 35204. Thank you Dr. David Barnes, Dr. David B. O’Neal, and Dr. Ryan Mann for the outstanding Care you gave our dad while in St. Vincents Hospital. Also the kind, compassionate love of the nursing staff. Julie you will never know how you helped this family. Keisha, Pam, Tammy, Ashley, Alaina. Santiel, Heather, Jodi, Eric, Brittany, Cinnomon, and Gina.
