Louise U Goggans

Visitation will be at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel Thursday May 20th from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. There will then be a short graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville.

“Lou” was born March 29th, 1926 in Walker County, Al. She was a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. She was retired from Bellsouth. Before her eyesight began to fail, she was an excellent seamstress, crocheter and quilter. She also loved to garden. Azaleas and Rhododendrons were her favorites.

She is preceded in death by her husband, W. Fred Goggans, father Marvin Allen Uptain, mother Mary Etta Uptain, brothers, Almas Uptain, Clement Uptain, Marvin Uptain Jr., Melvin Uptain and infant sister Mary Mabel Uptain.

Survivors are daughter, Mikki (Mary)Adamson (Don) and son, David Goggans (Amy).

Grandchildren D.J Adamson (Shelli), Travis Adamson, Matt Adamson (Jane), Sarah Goggans (Noah Petersen) and Kate Goggans Edgar (Clayton)

Great grandchildren, Grace Adamson, Jack Adamson, Georgia Adamson and Julia Adamson.

Sisters in law Betty Uptain and Margaret D Uptain.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to caregiver, Lynda Ross as well as Encompass hospice nurses, Rhonda and Dana.
