Manley went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2015 at the age of 77. He was born in Irondale, Alabama on February 19, 1938. He is survived by the love of his life for 52 years, Joanne Bewley Seale, his son Manley Seale, Jr. (Michele), his daughter Leanne Seale Duke (Troy) and his beloved grandchildren Kevin Duke, Anna Lea Duke and Abigail “Abbey” Seale; his sisters Linda Singleton (Buddy), Connie Creel (Willie Jack), Dianne Willingham and brother Paul Seale (Marie) and many nieces and nephews who knew him as “Mangle”. He was known for his love for his Savior, his family and his country, and Alabama football. He is remembered for his love of trains and he was a member of the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and he was rarely seen without his Navy cap (except on Alabama football game days). He was a member of Avondale Presbyterian Church and later a member of Crestway Baptist Church. He served as Scout Master for the Boy Scouts for many years. A visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave SW is directing.
