Marie A Pledger Fowler

FOWLER, MARIE PLEDGER, age 82, of Birmingham, went to meet her Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.L. “Juke” Fowler. She previously was employed at the Tarrant Board of Education and performed volunteer work for a number of years at Medical Center East Hospital. A devoted Christian, she was a tireless caregiver for her brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Trussville Church of Christ and previously a member of the Inglenook Church of Christ for 30+ years. Marie is survived by her loving brothers and sisters, Norman Pledger of Colorado Springs, CO; Malcolm Pledger of Birmingham; Shirley White (Earl) of Winedotte, MI; Dale Pledger (June) of Calera, AL; Walter Pledger of Empire, AL; her children, Donna Tucker of Birmingham and Buzz Fowler (Brenda) of Trussville, AL; along with a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 9 AM with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
