Marvin E. "Buddy" Whiting

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Clifford Louisa Whiting; sisters, Louise Mason and Laura Hoffmaster.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Martha Whiting; children, Stephen Earl Whiting, Sr. (Bobbie) and Janie Steele (Chuck); grandchildren, Stephen Earl Whiting, Jr., Mary Posey (David), Candice Chenault, Stephanie Pilkinton (Adam), Meagan Mitchell (Eric) and Jake Steele (Kristina); great grandchildren, Logan Heatherly, Seth Whiting, Wyatt Posey, Shane Whiting, Graham Chenault, Robert Chenault, Jon Ryan Pilkinton, Brentley Mitchell and Colton Steele.

Marvin loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked for Quality Press for 38 years. He spent his retirement loving his yard, woodworking, traveling and clock building.

Family will receive friends Wednesday December 6, 2017 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Trussville Epic Program.
