Mary Jean Nash

NASH, MARY JEAN, age 93 of Kingsville, TX passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Birmingham Nursing Home in Birmingham, AL where she had resided for a number of years. Born May 10, 1922 to Porter and Cora Lee Hickman. Mary was preceded in death by her former husband, Eugene Nash; her infant daughter, JoAnn Nash; and three brothers, Marvin, Jack and Buford Hickman. She is survived by two sons, Don Nash (Bonnie) of Trussville, AL and Marvin Lee Nash (Darlene) of Cheyenne, WY; two sisters, Corene Kelly and Martha Olson; one brother, Martin Hickman; grandchildren, Clay Nash (Melissa), Tonya Nash, Cody Nash (Farley), Amy Nash Haymes (Dixie), Stephen Yasko and Rocky Yasko (Heather); and great-grandchildren, Cole Nash, Jaycee and Presley Yasko. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was a lifetime attendee of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed being a Methodist Youth Fellowship leader, working with the children of the fellowships in Harlingen, Edinburg and Kingsville, TX. A celebration of Mary’s life is scheduled for Monday, November 9th at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Kingsville, TX.. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Gideon’s International, the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
