Mary Ruth Webb

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandson, Richard Niedermeier (Krista), great granddaughter Josie, her nephew Edgar (Pete) Rickard (Skippy), nieces Karen Stone (Ron) and Colleen Camper-Avritt.

She was predeceased by her daughter, BJ Niedermeier; brothers Edgar and Frank Rickard, Bill Williams, Johnny Queen, and sister Lucille Queen; her mother, Florence Ozley, and her father Byrd Merle Williams.

Ruth was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was happiest when taking care of others. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone and was a truly generous and kind soul. She loved cooking for her friends and family and spoiled her family as much as she could. She loved music and dancing and was known to lead her partner around the dance floor. She had an infectious laugh and brought joy to everyone she knew. She was a hard worker and enjoyed her job as an editor for the UAB report for many years. She will be forever in our hearts and we were lucky to call her Grandmom and Aunt Ruth.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11::00 am on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 11:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery, 600 Martin Luther King Drive, Birmingham, AL 35211.
