She is survived by: Son: Jeff Downs (Melissa) of Pell City, AL

Daughter: Laura Wald of Logan, OH

Son: Steve Downs (Tracy) of Guntersville, AL

Grandchildren: Jessica and Jonathan Downs, Mallory Anglin (Tristin), Hope and Lexie Wald Sarah Thomas (Dillon)

Great Grandchildren: Jaxton Anglin, Lilly Micah and Aubrey River Thomas

Sister: Carmen Rooker (Eugene)

Nancy was a believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior; devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful friend. We celebrate her victories and her struggles because we know and believe that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Nancy loved God and so she also loved others while always remembering that our love for God is proved by how we love each other.

She fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. With sadness and joy we place her in the Hands of Jesus. This gives us great peace because He is no stranger to death yet He is Risen. Lest we forget, His Hands bear the marks of death but they are the only Hands worthy to hold the keys to LIFE ETERNAL. Take this life and let it BE, Lord as we know Nancy will see you face to face and so will everyone who has longed for your appearing. Into Your hands we commit her spirit. All Glory, Praise, and Honor to God now and forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Taylor Memorial Methodist (Trustee’s Fund) in Chalkville, AL where Nancy was a long time member and / or Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville, AL.
