Nancy S. Goldstein

Nancy Selber Goldstein 85 loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on October 27, 2015 following a brief illness. Nancy was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 6, 1930 to Aaron R. Selber Sr. and Frances Dreyfuss Selber. She lived with her husband Bernard M. Goldstein in Mountain Brook until they retired and moved to Destin Florida. They later returned to Birmingham to live close to their family. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Aaron Selber, Jr. (Peggy B. Selber). Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Bernard M. Goldstein, Sr.; her three sons Bernard Goldstein Jr. (Lynda), Michael S. Goldstein (Pam), Jerry R. Goldstein, Sr. (Catherine); brother Leonard Selber (Mary Anne) and Donald Goldstein, Sr. (Mitzi). Nancy is also survived by five grandchildren Brant Powell (Sherri), Daniel Powell (Jennifer), Jerry R. Goldstein Jr., Stephanie G. Schell (Teddy) and Lauren M. Goldstein; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Fair Haven nursing home and Gentiva hospice. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 1:00 P. M. with funeral services following at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to your favorite charity.
