Norma Brown Belter Bowne age 83 of Homewood died March 24, 2012. She graduated from West End High School class of 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor J. Brown and Flora King Brown; her brother, Alvin E. “Buck” Brown. She is survived by her sons Burt A. Belter (Donna), Roger A. Belter (Donna); daughter, Susan B. Kelly; sister, Louise Pigg (Eugene); 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Ms. Bowne was retired from Vulcan Materials Company and until her illness was an active member of the Homewood Senior Center. She was a member of Oakmont Methodist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank Karen Ashe, who was a faithful and loving caregiver. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel and funeral at 11:00 am with Bro.Charlie Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
