Phillip Roy Gibson

GIBSON, PHILLIP ROY, age 70 of Birmingham, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. He was born on November 5, 1947 to Katherine and Roy Lee Gibson in Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepmother, Virginia Gibson. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Thrash Gibson; daughters, Katie Gibson and Amy Gibson; beloved grand-dog, Mia; sisters, Denise Yarbrough of Hanceville, AL and Sharon Holcombe (Tim) of Madison, AL; brother, Joe Lynch (Suzann) of Remlap, AL; and many nieces and nephews. Phillip attended Jacksonville State University and retired from Weathertech Industries Inc. in 2010 after a diverse career in the financial industry. His family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 4-5 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with a memorial service beginning at 5 PM.
