Age 89 of Birmingham, passed away August 16, 2014. Ralph is predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Martha Martin Collins. He was a part of the greatest generation of Americans. Veteran of WWII he saw action at D-Day, Omaha Beach and extensively through Europe. He retired from the Metro Area Express after 15 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Collins Tubbs and son, Martin Collins; grandchildren Matthew and Haven Tubbs. The family will receive friends Monday, August 18th at Elmwood Chapel from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM followed by a rosary at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, August 19th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.
