Reba Bradford White, age 95, entered her eternal home in Heaven on December 18, 2025, at UAB St. Vincent Hospital in Trussville, Alabama. She resided in Birmingham with her devoted son and daughter-in-law.
Born in Warrior, Alabama, on November 28, 1930, to Ranzy E. and Tressie L. Bradford, Reba grew up with a love for family and community. She graduated from Warrior High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Dennis L. White. They married on February 5, 1952, in Birmingham after Dennis returned from serving in the U.S. Army in Alaska.
Reba was a talented painter whose works included her grandfather’s farmhouse, 1700s sailing vessels, serene nature scenes, and a charming old, covered bridge. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and treasured items that reflected her appreciation for history and beauty.
Throughout her life, Reba served as an administrative assistant in various organizations, living in several states and touching many lives with her kindness and professionalism. Above all, she was devoted to her family—her son, Dennis Wayne White, his wife Linda, their daughter Brandy, her great-grandsons Kadyn and Jaxyn, and grandson, Christopher Wayne White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ranzy E. and Tressie L. Bradford; sisters Ethel B. Norris (Joe), Martha B. Crowder (John), Betty B. Maddox (Ralph), Dorothy B. Anderson (Bill); and brothers Hoyt Ernest Bradford and Bobby Jones Bradford (Bettye).
Reba is survived by her loving son, Dennis Wayne White (Linda); brother, R. Roland Bradford (Nancy); grandson, Christopher Wayne White; granddaughter, Brandy W. Watson; great-grandsons, Kadyn and Jaxyn Watson; and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
A visitation will be held at Johns-Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of Reba’s life at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Birmingham’s historic Elmwood Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Reba’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, creativity, and devotion. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
