Richard Lance Sheehan, 63, lost his battle with cancer in the early morning hours on November 6, 2023. He passed peacefully with his loving wife by his side. Lance is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Claire Sheehan. Lance is survived by his wife Suzanne, sons Jason (Lauren), Shaun (Kaley), and Brandon, sister Kim Breckenridge (Joe) and brother Randy Sheehan (Cindy), his grandchildren Samantha, James & Declan and several nieces and nephews.
Lance was a loving husband and father but, most of all he cherished his role as being a Papa. He loved nothing more than to spoil his grandkids. Lance enjoyed playing golf with his 3 sons and brother and watching Alabama football. He had an enjoyable career working at SPIRE gas company for 40+ years where he made several lifelong friends. His carefree spirit will be missed but not forgotten. This is not goodbye, but see you later. Roll Tide!
A service will be held in his honor on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. with graveside to follow.
