Born on November 10, 1987, Robert was the beloved son of Kimberly Barret Duchock and John V. Duchock. He was a devoted husband to Cecelia Vance and a proud father to John Michael Duchock, Kaylee Ann Duchock, and Robert Michael Duchock, Jr. Robert’s love for his family was the cornerstone of his life.
He is also survived by his brother, C.J. Duchock (Jazmine), and sister, Mary M. Duchock; nieces and nephews Paul Victor Ogletree, Charlie Ann Duchock, Thomas Gunner Duchock, and Ryan Jacob Duchock; and a host of cousins and cherished friends. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert Michael Johnson and Virginia Lee Johnson; Mary Margaret Johnson; and Charles J. Duchock and Mary M. Duchock.
Robert was a man of deep compassion and boundless generosity. He never met a stranger and was known for his warm, unforgettable hugs. His laughter was contagious, and his smile could light up any room. Despite life’s challenges, Robert lived with joy and an open heart. His motto, “Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here, but I have right now,” was a reflection of his resilient spirit and his ability to find beauty in the present moment.
He found peace and happiness in the outdoors—especially fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time at the beach. Robert’s love was fierce and unwavering, and he gave of himself freely, always ready to help others, even if it meant giving the shirt off his back.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, followed by a Celebration of Life and Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Robert will be laid to rest with his family at Elmwood Cemetery. The family invites all to remain for a reception at the church following the committal service, to share memories and honor the life of a man who loved deeply and lived fully.
Robert will be missed beyond measure, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
