Stanley Lynn Holt

HOLT, LYNN, age 55 of Springville, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at home surrounded by those he loved most. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Suzy Holt; sons, Chad (Stacey), John (Chelsea) and Derrin-Lynn (Rhiannon); grandkids, Braxton, Brantley, Brooks-Lynn and Abby; parents, Johnnie Sue and Kenneth Holt; siblings, Debbie Reed (Larry), Kelly Holt, and Chris Holt (Diana); numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving, faithful dog, Oreo. His biggest joys in life were his family, his kids, fishing, motorcycles and Auburn football. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend. He always kept a positive outlook on everything, coining the phrase “that’s a good thing” with those closest to him. Lynn had many friends, owing to the fact that he never met a stranger. He could tell “fish tales” for hours to anyone who would listen. A selfless and caring man who will be missed by every person who came into contact with him. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers these past two years. The family would like to give a very special thanks to the Springville Fire Department and also the Gentiva Hospice nurses who all went above and beyond our expectations.
