He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Spring Hill Baptist Church. Aftere graduation, he moved to California and years later he relocated to Glendale Arizona.
He worked for Amazon for many years until God called him home. He was prededed in death by his parents, Kyser and Aldotha Edwards; one sister, Mary Wynn; a brother, Kyser N. Edwards; and a nephew, Clifford Wynn.
Sylvester leaves cherished memories to: three sisters: Vera Kent, Juanita Ervin both of Selma, Alabama and Gloretha Watkins of Birmingham, Alabama; three brothers: Hazell Edwards of Victorville, California, James (Carolyn) Edwards and Earnest Edwards both of Selma, Alabama; special nephews: Sammie (Sumerlyn) Wynn of Long Beach, California and Calvin Edwards of Birmingham, Aolabama; ither nieces and nephews: Tasha, Shonda, Felecia (Kerry) Craig, Charles, Damon, Felicia, Earnest, Jr.; special friend and caregiver, LaShawn Dillard of Glendale, Arizona; a host of other relative and friends.
Sylvester will be laid to rest in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery, Jones, Alabama on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
