Travis J Slay

Travis Jackson Slay, age 77 passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Travis attended Snead Community College and finished at Jacksonville State in business management. He was the owner of Slay Vending Inc. which in started in November 1980, after retiring from RJ. Reynolds's . He served on the Army National Guard from 1975- 1982. He loved Alabama Football and Paul Bear Bryant. He loved going to our family vacation home in Foley, AL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pinson and a member of the Sunshine Sunday school Class. He loved his church and all of the friendships he became to know.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margueritte Britt Slay and Andrew Jackson Slay; and his son, Loice Matthew Slay.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 29 years, Pam Franklin Slay; his daughter and best friend, Mandy Paige Prisoc (Slay); his sister, Virginia Cecil; his daughter in law, Sharon Gomez Slay; his two Grandsons, Parker Christian Slay & Patrick Samuel Slay.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Pinson on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 1:00PM. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Midway Memory Gardens in Talladega, AL.
