

Uveda G. Tidwell, 63 of Pinson, AL passed away on December 28, 2025. She was a native of Montgomery, AL born on November 30, 1962. She attended Robert E Lee High School She moved to Jefferson County in the summer of 1987. She attended the First Baptist Church of Birmingham.
Uveda enjoyed sewing, crafting and gardening. She loved animals. In her earlier years she enjoyed drag racing and attending horse shows. Later in life she enjoyed traveling to Okinawa Japan to visit her son and family.
Uveda was a great listener and very strong adviser. She loved cooking and was known for her famous strawberry cheesecake that was often requested as Christmas gifts. She always loved a bargain and will be remembered as a strong woman who was the life of the party.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Sanders and her brother, David Sanders. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Anthony Tidwell; her son, Edward Earl Grant, Jr (Kanae) and three grandchildren, Julia, Matthew, and Maria; her daughter Andrel Michelle Pilkington (Allen); two sisters, Gail and Christine.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 4th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 1:00 p.m. family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. A committal service will immediately follow the chapel service at Sharon Baptist Cemetery in Pinson.
