She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Evie Dalton; her brothers, Veron, Arvis, and Dalvis; and her sister, Esther.
She was the devoted mother of seven children—Lynn (Marilyn), Karen, John (Ellen), Jack (Claudia), Lou (Ray), Jean (Russell), and Christopher (Kim)—and leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her great joy.
Virginia worked for Coca-Cola for 27 years and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She especially enjoyed supporting her family by attending the sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A pillar of her community in Tarrant, she generously volunteered her time and gave back to others in many ways, always seeking to make a difference in the lives of those around her.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her steady presence, and the countless memories she created with those she loved most.
A service honoring her life will be held on Saturday, September 20th, at Ridout’s Trussville, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church in Virginia’s memory.
