Willie Mae Harding, age 83, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. Willie was born July 30, 1941 in Monroe, LA. to Charles W. and Agnes Head. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was married to Joseph Harding for 45 years until his passing. She was a teacher for Jefferson City Board of Education for 25 years. She received a Masters Degree in Education from from UAB. Willie wrote a science fiction novel which may get published. She loved puzzles, crocheting, and Siamese cats.
She is survived by many loved ones, son; Charles "Eddie" White Jr. (Patti) of Hanceville, daughter; Nika R. White-Olvey (Stephen) of Gadsden, brother; Charles W. Head (Janice) of Warrior, sister; Rosa Mary Crowder (Charles) of Mt. Olive, 9 grandchildren; Aron Olvey of Auburn, Justin White (Sarah) of Romania, Courtney Martin (Seth) of Dothan, Caleb White (Leaha) of Pell City, Daniella Leininger (Bret) in Hungary, Candace Olvey of Oxford, Marcus Olvey of McCalla, Addison Olvey of Gadsden, Elish Kirkendoll of Knoxville, as well as 16 great-grandchildren.
