Ammie Marie Hartfield

Ammie Marie Hartfield, 62, departed this life on December 14, 2014. She was born in Kokomo, IN, the daughter of Patin and Mary F. Harris on January 30, 1952. Ammie was a homemaker. She was a member of B.G. Pollard Lodge #1242.

Ammie married James Hartfield on September 28, 1991 in Bloomington. She loved her life, music cooking and more importantly, her family.

Ammie is survived by her five children: Patin Earl Harris, Toni Lavonne Harris, Burshone Ann(husband Adrian) Woodson-Conner, Desiree Antionnett Hartfield Sweeney, Thelma Clarissa Hartfield, step-son Glen(wifeRoxanne)Hartfield, 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, four brothers: Robert(wife Nancy)Harris, James George, Charlie Harris, Ambrose Harris and two sisters: Emma Frances Harris and Margie Evelyn Harris.

Ammie was preceded in death by her husband James Hartfield, her sister Emma Franklin and brothers Beauford and Willie Harris.

Ammie will be missed more than words can say by her friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service for Ammie will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church, 321 N. Rogers St., Bloomington, IN 47404 with Rev. Dr. Bruce R. Rose officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
