Bobby Ray Hall, 75, of Bloomington, IN and Newberry, IN, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Monroe Hospital. Born on March 29, 1945 in Bloomington, IN, Bobby was the loving son of Benjamin Mac Hall and Lilly Mae (Pate) Hall. To have loved and been loved by him is an honor. He had the biggest heart and loved his family and friends unconditionally. His witty sense of humor and caring nature brought joy to the hearts of everyone that knew him. Bobby enjoyed spending precious time with his family and friends, gambling, gardening, camping, working outside, operating his backhoe, reminiscing about old times and watching Old Western movies, especially Wells Fargo, with his beloved wife, Brenda. Additionally, he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and supporting them in everything they do. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball, singing "Tiny Bubbles" & other songs and traveling all over the United States with his late wife, Connie Hall, whom he adored for many years. His favorite trip with Connie was to Alaska with his brother, Donnie and his wife Barb. He was a determined man that worked hard his entire life to provide for his family. Bobby was a Superintendent overseeing underground road construction for 45 years before he retired. Bobby attended Lyons Community Church and had formerly attended Word of Life Church in Bloomfield, he was also a member of the labor’s union. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Johnson Hall of Newberry, IN ; three daughters, Teresa Hall, Gena (Pete) Winzeler and Bobbie Jo Hall all of Bloomington, IN; four sons, Bobby (Jennifer) Havron of Bloomington, IN, Isaac (Bethany) Schunk of Euless, TX, Benjamin (Jamie) Schunk of Richmond,IN and Josiah (Annelise) Schunk of Bedford, IN; two brothers, Donnie (Barb) Hall and Clarence “Tutti” (Barb) Hall both of Bloomington, IN; two sisters, Sharon Pitcher of Bloomfield, IN and Sue Goodman of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren, Brandy (Mike) Gorman, Fredie “Slugger” (Erica) Elliott, Alaina Winzeler, Callie Winzeler, Dylan Hall, Conner Harden, Bryce Hall, Katelynne Hall, Logan Havron, Michaela Gorman, Bralee Gorman, Jaidlyn Elliott, Braydon Elliott, Skyler Banks, Andrew Schunk, Joshua Schunk, Levi Schunk, Caroline Schunk, Cassidy Reed, Makinsey Schunk, Kyndal Schunk, Ava Schunk. Benjamin Schunk, Jr., Eleanor Schunk, James Schunk, special friends; Christopher Kupersmith and Becky & Lanna Pedro; two special nieces, Candy Hall & Lisa Peterson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Connie Marie Hall; his brothers, Lowell Hall and Billy Hall and a granddaughter, Stephanie Elliott. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Pentecostal Faith Assembly Church, 1301 W 11th St with Pastors Michael Douglas and Eugene Helms officiating; burial will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM also in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. At the visitation and service, the family kindly requests that you refrain from physical condolences, wear a mask, be mindful of social distancing and take advantage of the provided hand sanitizer.
