

Brenda Kay Stanton, 74, of Bloomington died Friday, March 24, 2023 in Garden Villa. She was born December 30, 1948 in Bloomington to Abe Stanton and Mallie Mildred Cummings Stanton. She had worked at ATR Coil and retired from General Electric.
Survivors include two sisters, Billie (husband Ray) Roberts and Martha Temple of Kingman, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Sharlene Stanton and Lois Ohler; two God daughters, Alazandra Story and Makenna Temple-Guthrie; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William, Raymond and Robert Stanton; and six sisters, Margaret Ohler, Josephine Hash, Alma Stanton, Barbara Benson, Doris Chambers Patterson and Shirley Gardiner.
Brenda was a member of Adams Street Chapel, she was a prayer warrior for both her church and her family, and she loved to spend quality time with her large extended family. Brenda loved to spend time as a second mother to all her nieces and nephews, she was in constant contact with all her family via telephone, she would do anything for anybody, she was always showering her family with affection and was very jovial and liked to joke. Brenda loved to play Bingo and was a member of the Moose Women’s Auxiliary.
There will be a family gathering on Sunday, April 16th at 1:00 PM in Valhalla Memory Gardens to reflect on Brenda’s Life. Arrangements are under the direction of Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home.
