Carl E.”Jug” Bayne, Jr 76, passed away after an unexpected brief illness at his home with his family by his side on June 6, 2012. He was born February 28, 1936 in Bloomington, IN. Carl started his working career as Service Manager at High Speed Recap Co., he was then employed by his friend at C.E. Richardson’s Excavating Co. Carl and his father opened Bayne’s Harley Davidson in 1964 to 1985. Carl later enjoyed working for and retired from Snedegar Construction, Inc.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Marion(Hutcherson)Bayne, his son Gregory Bayne of Spencer, two daughters; Carlene Gilmour of Greenwood, Lori(Jeff)Wolford of Bloomington, grandchildren; Jesse(Brandi)Bayne of Bloomington, Garrett(Annette)Gilmour of Camby, Damon Gilmour of Greenwood and Amanda and Katy Wolford of Bloomington. Great grandchildren are Bailey Bayne of Bloomington, Daniel Rubbo, Sarah and Nataly Gilmour of Camby.Carl was of Christian faith, he belonged to the Masonic Lodge #22 of Monroe County, he was a member of Bloomington York Rite and Murat Shrine and the Stonebelt Shrine Club of Bloomington.Carl was preceded in death by his father Carl E Bayne SR, step-mother Geneva Bayne, mother Mildred Lawrence and step-father Jimmy Lawrence.Visitation will be held at Day Funeral Home from 1:30-8:30pm on Thursday June 7th. The family welcomes family and friends to join them for services on Friday at the Chapel at Valhalla Memory Gardens at 10 AM.Memorial Contributions may be made to IU Health Hospice of Bloomington or the American Cancer Society.Day Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Online condolences may be given at www.DayFuneralServices.com
